This thought-provoking academic study explores the intersection of 21st-century compositional paradigms and human evolution, focusing on the attitudes of young musicians toward the future of music. Drawing on a qualitative study conducted with students from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, it delves into how artificial intelligence, digital aesthetics, and new compositional tools are reshaping contemporary art music.

Through the lens of transhumanist ideals, the book examines how technological and scientific advancements are transforming creative tendencies, aesthetic values, and ethical perceptions. The study uses a custom-designed questionnaire—Opinions on Ethical Dilemmas in Transhumanist Music (OEDTM)—to assess music students’ views on pressing ethical questions in the age of AI-generated art. Results reveal a strong human-centered stance: students largely reject the notion that AI-generated music qualifies as emotional or authentic and remain skeptical about fairness and authorship.

Yet, the findings also suggest that technological innovation does not negate the spiritual mission of art. New genres such as algorithmic composition, AI music, and eco-music challenge traditional norms while opening new dimensions of sonic imagination.

This academic study s a timely and essential resource for musicologists, educators, and artists seeking to understand how future-facing technologies influence musical creativity and human identity. It offers critical insights into the ethical, aesthetic, and philosophical questions at the heart of music's digital transformation.
